This project utilizes clouds as a living Rorschach test, serving as a process for ongoing self-discovery and creative practice. The urban environment of Vietnam acts as both catalyst and collaborator, offering rich sensory stimuli and subtle moments of everyday life that facilitate observation and interpretation of the inner self. Through multiple visits—during which I wrote, sketched, and photographed—I have confirmed that this city provides the ideal context to deepen this project. The cityscape functions as the “card,” while the clouds serve as the “inkblot.” I exist simultaneously between these two, continuously observing, interpreting, and recreating my life and creative practice through the interplay of the clouds and the city.
Junseo Lee is a photographer, writer, and designer whose work explores the intersection of the inner self and the external world. Through photography, prose, and mixed media, she maps the fleeting moments of urban life against a backdrop of philosophical inquiry. Her practice, deeply informed by psychology and behavioral science, questions how we perceive and inhabit our environments. Her recent time in Vietnam crystallized this focus, leading to a body of work that chronicles the act of finding clarity and creative identity amidst the vibrant chaos of a new city. She is the author of two books that trace this ongoing evolution.

I’m open to dialogues, collaborations, and shared visions.

As a kid, I wanted to be a singer, lawyer and even a doctor. As an adult, I realize that it is really important to remember that early optimism that we all had as a child. That optimism is something we should all cherish because it fuels our courage throughout our life.-Excerpted from GO Book.
Your dreams are waiting for you, and all you need to do is give yourself the go-ahead to take the first step towards achieving them.-Excerpted from GO Book.
No matter how tough the journey may seem, by remaining consistent and dedicated, you can stay on track and on board with your dreams.-Excerpted from GO Book.
Angle
Each day comes carefully wrapped, with gift-like scenes unfolding beyond, yet sometimes even they grow dull. But shift the angle, take another look, and you might just find the moments you once passed by.-Excerpted from Nowhere But Everywhere.
The Moments
If I keep encountering the moments I’ve been waiting for, it feels like a dream. Their shapes and colors may be different, but I know these are the moments I’ve been waiting for.-Excerpted from Nowhere But Everywhere.
Begin
Do you not know whether to stop or keep going? Does the end of the path feel dark? Light a fire in your heart, reclaim that initial feeling and open it up. From within, a bright light will shine through.-Excerpted from Nowhere But Everywhere.
The importance of simplification is constantly emphasized, yet why is it so difficult to put into practice? I should continue training myself to prioritize effectively. Also, instead of focusing on myself, I need to think from the user's perspective. I must let go of the assumption that things will be naturally understood or obvious to others.-Excerpted from The Art of Simplification.
Focusing solely on visual appeal won’t lead to truly effective design. The core message must come first, and only then should we consider how to communicate it effectively. If we start with appearance and try to fit meaning into it, the essence is easily lost. In the end, enhancing user experience comes down to delivering a clear message and ensuring its intended use is well-defined.-Excerpted from Beyond Surface Appeal.
I was too focused on reaching my destination
to notice my surroundings.
Today, weary from the rush, I decided to take a moment and stand still.
Where is everyone going?
What feelings carry them toward their destinations?
What settles within them once they arrive?
Colors and shapes, similar but distinct, dance together.
Appearing calm while constantly creating their own sounds.
As I gaze quietly, I lose myself in thought, wondering
what color, what form I exist as.
What could possibly bother me?
I just need a spot where I can stretch out my legs.
I close my eyes and pause my thoughts.
Finally, the gentle smell of coffee teases my nose.
